The capital and business alliance between Kirin for Food & Beverages and Pharmaceuticals and FANCL for Beauty and Health was formed in 2019. From there, research and product development utilizing the strengths of both companies began, and in December 2024, FANCL became a wholly owned subsidiary of Kirin Holdings, further deepening the bond between the two companies.
Currently, a variety of collaborations are being created through the cooperation of both companies.

The companies have developed beverages that easily support health, such as Kirin x FANCL Amino SUPLI Plusopen new window and Gogo-no-Kocha Apple Tea Plusopen new window, which take advantage of FANCL's research results. In addition, they have collaborated on a wide range of products, including the Beauty Bouquetopen new window, which is a series of basic cosmetics with new ingredients that were created through joint research.

Tag teaming of the two companies has resulted in the development of an environmentally friendly package.

Collaboration can also be found in the development of materials using beer brewing lees, a byproduct of the production of KIRIN ICHIBAN, for FANCL's cosmetics packaging. This is an environmentally friendly approach that combines FANCL's desire to find plant-derived packaging materials and Kirin's search for ways to utilize byproducts.

This package is made of hemicellulose, an ingredient extracted from beer brewing lees, and although it looks like plastic, it can be disposed of as burnable trash. In addition, because it is lighter than plastic, it helps reduce CO2 emissions during transportation.

FANCL began in 1980 when its founder, Kenji Ikemori, started mail order sales of cosmetics to solve women's skin problems.

In addition to successfully developing additive-free cosmetics and spreading them throughout the world, we were the first in Japan to use the word "supplement" to sell health food products, and we have developed our business with the desire to eliminate "disadvantages" such as anxiety and inconvenience in the world.

With this in mind, we will continue to engage in various collaborations as a member of the Kirin Group, which contributes to mind x body and inside x outside health.
