Supporting Children's Healthy Daily Lives — Kirin's Commitment
Children living today will shape the future. As a company that has long delivered beverages and food for everyday life, Kirin believes in being close to children's daily experiences—supporting their healthy growth and bringing smiles to families.
This belief led to the launch of "KIRIN Kid's Care," a project rooted in decades of health science research. It aims to foster healthy habits from early childhood.
We support the daily health and futures of children by expanding health awareness efforts at kindergartens, nursery schools, and elementary schools and by providing fine products, services, and other activities.
Raising Awareness of Immune-System Care in Kindergartens and Nursery Schools
To help children build immune-system care* habits from a young age, Kirin created a picture-story show on the theme of "What is Immunity?" This fun and engaging program teaches children at kindergartens and nursery schools about the immune system and healthy daily routines. Since 2024, the initiative has expanded nationwide.

In 2025, the program evolved with the introduction of the "Mutekids (Invincible Kids)" characters in its picture-story show, making immune-system care even more relatable and enjoyable.
As of June 2025, approximately 1,200 pre-schools across Japan have joined the initiative as "Immune-care Promotion Preschools," reaching around 200,000 children.
Special Classes for Elementary School Students
For elementary school students, Kirin has offered a special class titled "Making Every Day Healthy with Immune-System Care" based on over 35 years of immune research.
Since 2022, more than 35,000 children at over 500 schools in Japan have participated, learning about immunity and health.
Launch of Mutekids — A Product for Children
In June 2025, Kirin launched its first health drink designed specifically for children: KIRIN Mutekids.
Developed to support parent's wishes for their children's well-being, the drink contains 50 billion Lactococcus lactis strain Plasma and iron to boost health from within. The packaging features characters called "Mutekids" co-created with the editorial team of "Shogakukan Monthly CoroCoro Comic," making it fun and appealing for kids.
Digital Services Supporting Parenting
LINE App for Children's Health
Kirin offers a LINE-based service that provides local infection alerts/advisories, immune-system care* recipes and articles, and a memo function for families to share. This app helps parents manage their children's health with ease.

"Sukusuku Allergy Note"
This Instagram-based service shares evidence-based information and real-life parenting tips to address food allergy concerns in infants and toddlers. It draws on Kirin's expertise in immunity and allergy research from its pharmaceutical division.
