On February 21 (Thursday), Kirin Holdings Company, Limited (President and CEO Yoshinori Isozaki) was certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi as an organization that practices particularly outstanding “health and productivity management” in partnership with insurers. It is the third year in a row for Kirin Holdings to receive certification as an “Organization Recognized under the 2019 Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program (White 500)”. In addition, Kirin Company, Limited, Kirin Brewery Company, Limited, Kirin Beverage Company, Limited, Mercian Corporation and Kyowa Kirin Company, Limited. also received certification again this year.
The “Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program” is a program which recognizes large enterprises and SMEs that practice excellent “health & productivity management” based on initiatives in line with the local health and productivity issues and the initiatives promoted by Nippon Kenko Kaigi to improve health and productivity. This year, 821 organizations were certified in the large enterprise category and 2,503 organizations were certified in the SME category.

The Kirin Group has formulated the Long-Term Management Vision “Kirin Group Vision 2027” (KV2027) and is aiming to become “a global leader in CSV* by creating value in domains ranging from food & beverages to pharmaceuticals”. Also, directed at realizing KV2027, the group is working at an even higher level on the priority themes of “health and well-being”, “community engagement” and “the environment” under the premise of “a responsible alcohol producer” based on CSV-oriented management.
In accordance with the medium to long-term action plan “Kirin Group CSV commitment” for CSV-oriented management, in relation to the priority theme of “health and well-being”, the Kirin Group has promoted measures and programs for realizing flexible work styles, implemented initiatives for the mental health of employees and preventing lifestyle related diseases and worked to spread awareness of responsible alcohol consumption.
Going forward, directed at realizing “health and productivity management”, the Kirin Group will continue to create opportunities and an environment in which employees can actively create healthy habits as a company that delivers “health and well-being” to consumers. Also, along with continuing to address mental health and the prevention of lifestyle related diseases, the group will promote initiatives as an alcohol producer through which the responsible consumption of alcohol by employees will be a model for society.
