TOKYO, September 5, 2025 – Kirin Holdings Company, Limited has released the KIRIN Digital Vision 2035 (KDV2035)
(Digital Transformation | Innovation | KIRIN - Kirin Holdings Company, Limited).

Kirin Group has positioned digital infrastructure as an important growth driver in its long-term management plan, Kirin Group Vision 2027, under the slogan “ICT to accelerate value creation.” In light of the recent rapid evolution of digital technology, including generative artificial intelligence (AI), and changes in customer lifestyles and behaviors, the KDV2035 has been formulated to further accelerate value creation using the Company’s digital technology.

Under the KDV2035, the Kirin Group has set “eliminating tasks that do not need to be done by people” (i.e., productivity improvement) and “accelerating the creation of value together with people” (i.e., value creation) as the two pillars of achieving business goals, and by enhancing the digital infrastructure that underpins these two pillars, the Kirin Group is advancing its efforts in the Food & Beverages, Health Science, and Pharmaceuticals sectors. Our goal is to significantly elevate the quality, quantity, and speed of value creation and establish ourselves as a leading global CSV*1 company.
*1 Creating Shared Value. Combined added value for consumers as well as for society at large.

We have been building an environment where employees can focus on creative work utilizing generative AI. For example, we introduced BuddyAI, which uses OpenAI’s GPT model, to approximately 15,000 Group company employees in Japan in May 2025. In addition, since 2021, the “DX Dojo” human resources development program has been implemented, with approximately 3,800 people having taken the course so far.

Going forward, we will further enhance the digital skills of our employees as part of our efforts to strengthen our digital infrastructure under the KDV2035. Based on the Digital Skill Standards Ver 1.2*2 defined by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the human resource roles required for the Kirin Group are defined as: “Advanced: Talent who can create value by solving business issues with digital tools,” “Intermediate: Talent who can promote digitalization in each department and team” and “Elementary: Talent with baseline skills for all employees.” The training and development system is based on the roles required.
*2 Indicators for human resource development and education, which systematically organize the skills required as digital transformation (DX) progresses, as defined by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
