TOKYO, August 20, 2026 - Kirin Holdings Company, Limited reported that sales revenue of its “Kirin iMUSE Supplement” series containing L. lactis Plasma, Kirin’s proprietary ingredient, increased by approximately 20% year on year in January–June 2026, reaching a record high for the period*1.

Factors Behind the Strong Performance

1. Rising Consumer Interest in Health Management Throughout the Year

In recent years, health consciousness among consumers has continued to grow, with more people seeking to manage their physical condition on an ongoing basis in their daily lives. In response, the Company strengthened its communications regarding the importance of incorporating “immune care”*2 into everyday health habits.
As a result, monthly sales revenue for the series has exceeded the previous year’s level every month since February 2026. This trend suggests that “immune care” is becoming established among consumers not merely as a temporary measure for maintaining physical condition, but as a daily health habit that supports healthy living.
In addition, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency’s warm-season forecast, this summer is expected to be dominated by warm air masses, resulting in higher-than-normal temperatures across Japan.*3 Interest in daily health management is expected to increase further during prolonged periods of heat, leading to additional growth in demand for “immune care.”

2. Expanded Awareness and Purchase Opportunities Drove New Customer Acquisition and Habit Formation

The Company continuously implemented communications throughout the year to highlight the importance of immune care, including promotional campaigns featuring Shohei Ohtani as the “Immune Care” Promotion Ambassador.*4 These activities significantly increased awareness of the series. In addition, the Company expanded consumer touchpoints through its direct-to-consumer channels, external e-commerce platforms, and retail distribution channels, tailoring communications to product characteristics and target consumer groups.
As a result of these initiatives, purchase touchpoints through both direct-to-consumer and external e-commerce channels, as well as retail distribution channels, increased by approximately 10% year-on-year. This expansion enabled the Company to reach previously untapped consumer segments and acquire new customers.*5 The combination of greater awareness and expanded purchase opportunities helped position immune care as an easy-to-maintain daily health habit, contributing to overall sales growth across the series.
