Cowellnex Co., Ltd. was established in September 2024 as a joint venture between Kirin Holdings Co., Ltd. and Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd.It was founded on the belief that by combining the strengths and expertise cultivated by both companies, through closer collaboration than before, we can create new value that cannot be achieved by either company alone.

We are addressing a wide range of social issues related to health. As the healthcare environment continues to change significantly, it is increasingly important to go beyond extensions of existing initiatives. By identifying new themes through bold and flexible thinking, and by integrating diverse technologies and knowledge, we strive to nurture these ideas into new value.

Cowellnex serves as an engine for innovation creation. Under our unique model of close collaboration across research and development, business development, and venture investment, we seamlessly connect internal and external knowledge and technologies. From the exploration of new themes to value creation and social implementation, we advance initiatives in an end‑to‑end manner—this is our distinctive approach.

The name Cowellnex reflects our commitment to Co-creation, Wellness, and X—transformation. Together with our internal teams, companies across the Kirin Group, startups, universities, and research institutions, we work to inspire one another, learn together, and create new health value. This name embodies our determination to continuously challenge conventional assumptions.

Toward 2030, we have articulated a clear vision: to deliver five groundbreaking health experiences to the world and unleash human potential.
