As a company that delivers health to its customers, Kirin Group aims to create an environment in which employees can work in a healthy and lively manner. In 2017, the President & CEO of Kirin Holdings issued the Kirin Health Declaration to promote health management.

To grow together with society in a sustainable manner, the Kirin Group contributes to the resolution of social issues related to health.

As such, the Group places the utmost importance on maintaining the health and happiness of all of its employees so that they can enjoy their work.

In addition to the efforts that Group employees make on their own to maintain their health, Groupwide efforts are being made to go beyond existing frameworks for occupational health and safety to actively provide support for the health and well-being of all employees.

We have been certified as a Health and Productivity Management Outstanding Organization in the Health and Productivity Management Survey.

Occupational Safety and Health Systems

The Kirin Group towards Implementation of health and productivity management,Kirin Holdings has established a "Group Health and Safety Meeting" to monitor the progress of indicators and discuss policies, strategies, and plans related to health and safety. The contents of the meetings have been reported to the Group CSV Committee and, if necessary, to the Board meeting for deliberation and reporting.

Initiatives

Using health apps to promote walking

Participation in "Arukatsu"

This is a [team-based] walking event held twice a year (spring and autumn) on kencom (a health app).
Teams and individuals take part and aim for the goal of Hokkaido from the starting point of Kyushu.
The goal is to take 8,000 steps a day and enjoy walking while encouraging each other by sending messages to others within the team.

  • The kencom points of the team that agreed with the purpose are donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Use of health management support services

Introduced Wellness Store, an e-commerce site provided by KIRIN naturals, a health management support service.Promote employee healthy behavior by regularly providing health-related videos/health information, and providing health products to Wellness Stores registrants.

Use LINE for employees and families

We use LINE service for employees and their families to provide them with important information about their health and how to apply for a medical checkup in an easy-to-understand and direct way.
